HER STORY

"Healing often begins when we finally give our story the space to be told."

For a long time, I believed silence was the safest option.

Like many women, I carried experiences that were painful, confusing, and difficult to put into words. Some parts of my story felt too heavy to speak aloud. Other parts felt too complicated to explain. For a while, I held those pieces quietly, trying to move forward while still carrying the weight of what had been behind me.

But healing has a way of gently inviting us to look again.

Through faith, reflection, and the courage to confront my own story, I began to understand that the very things we try to hide can often become the places where healing begins. Over time, I discovered that writing, truth-telling, and honest reflection can create space for both personal healing and meaningful impact.

Today, I help women move from silence to healing, from healing to writing, and from writing to living with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.

PROFESSSIONAL BACKGROUND

My work sits at the intersection of healing, storytelling, and authorship.

I have been a professional editor since 2016, helping writers clarify their message, strengthen their manuscripts, and prepare their work for publication. Over the years, I have worked with authors who felt unsure about their writing, overwhelmed by the publishing process, or uncertain about how to share their stories with the world.

In addition to my editorial work, I serve as a college instructor in English and literature, where I guide students through the power of language, storytelling, and critical thinking.

Teaching and editing have allowed me to see something again and again: when people are given the right tools and support, their words become clearer, their confidence grows, and their voices become stronger.

COMMUNITY & NON PROFIT WORK

Part of my work also extends beyond writing and publishing.

I am the founder of Overcoming 2 Become, a nonprofit organization created to support adults who are healing from childhood sexual abuse and other forms of trauma.

Through this work, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals who are learning to process painful experiences, rebuild their sense of identity, and rediscover hope for the future.

Overcoming 2 Become exists to remind survivors that what happened to them does not have the final word over who they are becoming.

Healing is possible. Growth is possible. And new chapters can still be written.

WHAT I DO TODAY

Through my programs, books, and editorial guidance, I help women and aspiring authors do three important things:

Heal

Heal from experiences that have kept their voices quiet.

Write

Write the stories, messages, and ideas that have been waiting to be expressed.

Rise

Rise into the purpose and impact that can grow from sharing those stories with others.

Sometimes the journey begins with healing. Sometimes it begins with writing. But in every case, the goal is the same: helping women reclaim their voice and move forward with clarity and confidence.

AS AN AUTHOR

I am also the author of The Lost Woman: Silenced No More

A book that explores healing, identity, faith, and the process of reclaiming one's voice after seasons of silence.

Through this book and others that follow, my hope is to encourage women who may feel unseen, unheard, or uncertain about how to move forward.

Your story matters. Your healing matters. And your voice deserves space.

THE HEART BEHIND THE WORK

At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: Stories have the power to heal, to teach, and to connect us.

When women begin to tell their stories honestly and thoughtfully, something shifts. Healing deepens, courage grows, and the impact of those words reaches far beyond what they may have imagined.

Whether through writing, teaching, editing, or nonprofit work, my goal is to help others find clarity, confidence, and purpose in the stories they carry.

A FINAL THOUGHT

Every story carries moments that shape us

Every story carries moments that shape us — some joyful, some painful, and some that take time to fully understand. Yet even the most difficult chapters can become places where healing begins and purpose takes root.

Over the years, I've seen how powerful it can be when women allow themselves the space to reflect, heal, and give voice to the experiences that once felt impossible to share. Writing has a way of bringing clarity to our thoughts, courage to our hearts, and connection to those who may be walking a similar path.

Whether your journey begins with healing, with writing, or simply with the desire to understand your story more deeply, you don't have to walk that path alone.

If you feel ready to take the next step, I would be honored to support you along the way.
